Mostly through volunteering in the DNC campaigning locally for most of their candidates. I’ve attended many fundraisers and rallies. I’ve met Kennedys, Joe Lieberman and his wife when he was running for VP alongside Al Gore as well as many more politicians. I was stuck in the glitz and glam of it all, without seeing the true side of politics but as the years past, I watched on TV and the more I noticed. The more I listened to the news the more turned off to politics, I became. It was like an awakening for me and I started to see the world more differently. Despite both parties promising change and better welfare for the people; no changes were made and things pretty much all stayed the same or got worse.

Of course, why should they work for the people? The salary that they get from the people are but only a fraction of what they can make working for special interests. After all, the American people don’t throw them parties or send them on exclusive getaways. So for people that are used to instant gratification, there is no need to work for the people even though it is the only employer that is constitutional. People who are easily corrupted such as those in Washington, see no need to work for the people. The people in their view is there to work for them and to listen to their scripted speeches. The people are only there to believe their words of “If you re-elect me, I will give you what you mostly care about” which in fact, the need for them to be re-elected is to go back to serving special interests and enjoying themselves at the people’s expense.

There are a few exceptions such as Ron Paul, Bernie Sanders, Keith Ellison, and a few others. These exceptions are a shining light in what seems to be endless corruption inside American politics. In order to change this we have to stand up as one and say no more. We need to encourage more younger people with the right visions to enter into politics. Fresh blood to wipe away this old system and to bring in a new one.

Please continue to support Occupy Congress. It is time that Congress is reminded on who they really should be working for, the American People.

http://www.occupyyourcongress.info/

A very inspiring photo that was posted on Google +. Just had to share it here. It’s very inspiring especially for those of us who can’t make it in person to the protests but help out in anyway that they can to spread the message.

The Failed System Called Capitalism

Capitalism, a system that was designed to give everybody a fighting chance to be successful has been hijacked and perverted by Imperialists that have taken over the Global Markets. Where only a few now have true success in the market. While many either have little to only moderate success. Regulations are broken or fixed to work in the controllers favor. To help sustain the growing need of resources to feed into the system, often times wars are manufactured to gain the resources of that country.

It’s morality has been corrupted to only except pragmatic Machiavellian materialism and consumerism. Where what you own defines you, the drive to own more and bigger things. It has corrupted many people into a false idea that drives people to the stores to help fund the 1%. And what do they people get at the end? Nothing. Despite all the money that is going into the economy, healthcare prices are through the roof, many people are being foreclosed on, and many more Americans are experiencing hunger. The Middle Class as we know it is disappearing at an alarming rate. The Government is currently in debt cause of over spending, which doesn’t reach the people.

With the gap between the classes becoming wider, it is clear that Capitalism isn’t working. The current form is too corrupted to fix. Lawmakers are useless since most of them have been bought out. The minority of them that are honest is not enough to make any real impact. So that leaves the only option of tearing down the corrupted system and replacing it with a new balanced system.

This leaves the question of what then if not Capitalism? For me, I would say there is 2 options. 1. A whole new system of economics or 2. A renewed version of Capitalism that is based around equality and doesn’t endorse Imperialism as a means to an end. I would call this system Social Capitalism but that’s just me. I personally would love to see a merger of Capitalism and Socialism. Something that would satisfy both sides or a majority of them.

At the end, the one thing that many can agree on is that Capitalism as it is has failed. If things goes unchanged, America will slip further into a Aristocratic ruling system. This will signal the end of the United States as we know it. We can’t let that happen. With NDAA about to be signed by President Obama and SOPA on its way to being passed in Congress; it’s a question of when not if.

For a very informative chart, that shows how deep relations of corporations in US politics has become click here-http://i.imgur.com/PVpFY.jpg

Hunger In America, By The Numbers | ThinkProgress

Hunger In America, By The Numbers | ThinkProgress:

17.2 million: The number of households that were food insecure in 2010, the highest number on record. They make up 14.5 percent of households, or approximately one in seven.

48.8 million: People who lived in food insecure households last year.

3.9 million: The number of households with children that were food insecure last year. In 1 percent of households with children, “one or more of the children experienced the most severe food-insecure condition measured by USDA, very low food security, in which meals were irregular and food intake was below levels considered adequate by caregivers.”

6.4 million: Households that experienced very low food security last year, meaning “normal eating patterns of one or more household members were disrupted and food intake was reduced at times during the year because they had insufficient money or other resources for food.”

55: The percentage of food-insecure households that participated in one or more of the three largest Federal food and nutrition assistance programs (SNAP, WIC, School lunch program).

19.4: The percentage of food insecure households in Mississippi, which had the highest rate in the nation last year.

3.6 percent: The amount by which food prices increased last year.

30 percent: The amount by which food insecurity grew during the Great Recession.

44: The percentage increase in households using food pantries between 2007 and 2009.

20 million: The number of children who benefit from free and reduced lunch per day.

10.5 million: The number of eligible children who don’t receive their free and reduced lunch benefits.

$167.5 billion: The amount that the U.S. lost in 2010 due to hunger (lost educational attainment + avoidable illness + charitable giving to fight hunger). This doesn’t take into account the $94 billion cost of SNAP and other food programs.

8: The number of states (FL, TX, CA, IL, NY, OH, PA, GA) where the annual cost of hunger exceeds $6 billion.

It has now become a slave to the big banks and corporations that control much of the world as we know it. The US is their biggest asset with huge military advancements and a infrastructure that suits their purposes. It has hijacked Globalization and perverted it with Capitalism/Imperialism. Raping not only the land but killing many innocents in the strive to control the world’s economies and resources. If humanity wishes to survive, we need to stop this kind of ruling system. We can’t afford to be sheep any longer. Global Resistance is here and its here to stay until humanity is truly free.

Changing the ways of the US Government is so important for the simple fact of the impact it has not only on a domestic scale but on an international scale. Right now we have a Government that thrives on warfare and bloodshed. It exports terror by helping other corrupted regimes to oppress their people, such as what is happening in Egypt and Bahrain now. The US has ties to al-Qaeda from the days that the CIA helped create it when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. It butchers innocent people in Pakistan by drone attacks. Not only that but it is also driving us closer to war with Iran and Syria that would bring Russia into the conflict against the US. Nuclear war is on the horizon and it will be the US Government that instigates it. How many people will die in that needless war? Now cause of the NDAA, any American that disagrees will be rounded up to FEMA prison camps. The US will turn into a police state under martial law. Its actions not only endanger fellow Americans but humanity as well.

It is time that people start to wake up and not relay on the government to fix things. How can they be expected to fix something that they themselves broke in the first place? We need to start relaying on ourselves to fix ourselves and the world around us. We as Americans deserve our constitutional and human rights that has been denied to us by the US Government. We NEED to take our country back! We have that chance now and we can’t afford to waste it. This is a fight, we can’t afford to lose. If we can change the US then I promise you, we can change the world. It would be a new era of freedom and global peace.

"With this defense authorization act, Congress will, for the first time in 60 years, authorize the..."

“With this defense authorization act, Congress will, for the first time in 60 years, authorize the indefinite detention of U.S. citizens without charge or trial, according to its advocates. This would be the first time that Congress has deviated from President Nixon’s Non-Detention Act. And what we are talking about here is that Americans could be subjected to life imprisonment without ever being charged, tried, or convicted of a crime, without ever having an opportunity to prove their innocence to a judge or a jury of their peers. And without the government ever having to prove their guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. I think that denigrates the very foundations of this country. It denigrates the Bill of Rights. It denigrates what our Founders intended when they created a civilian, non-military justice system for trying and punishing people for crimes committed on U.S. soil. Our Founders were fearful of the military—and they purposely created a system of checks and balances to ensure we did not become a country under military rule. This bill undermines that core principle, which is why I could not support it.”

- Al Franken (via azspot)

A Little About Me

I’m an online activist and a huge supporter of the Occupy movements. I’m a writer for The Activists and love to research on the social issues at heart of the Global Revolutions. What is important to me is above all the truth and justice. I believe strongly in constitutional law which the US was founded on. This is why, I joined the struggle for a better world. Activism is my life and I am fully enjoying it. I hope others will join in the movements going around.
